The Missing Light is a joyful, creative retelling of the creation story. It’s told and illustrated in a way to show young readers how thrilling the process was for the Creator to make everything we see, hear, taste, and feel in our world. Through the wonder-filled eyes of a boy who cannot contain his imagination, you will watch Him make all kinds of new amazing things. But no matter what ideas come to Him, He can’t shake the feeling that something very important is missing.
Follow the boy from darkness to light, to the clouds and the galaxies, through the mountains and deserts, meet creatures of all kinds and go to the ends of the earth until we learn what the missing light could be…
Meet The Author Erin Todd
From an early age, Erin has always loved imagining stories and characters, writing her own turns of phrase, and diving deep into compelling books. This drove her to study English Literature and Journalism in college and her career led to work as a marketer for businesses, nonprofits, and technology companies.
Erin is now a mother of two boys and that experience has motivated her to tell them meaningful stories through books and stories.
“The Missing Light” is her debut book and it captures the excitement of Creation and how the Maker of all couldn’t stop until He found what was missing all along.
When Erin is not writing, you can find Erin exploring the great outdoors with her husband and two boys, training for an endurance challenge, or enjoying a citrus or caffeine forward beverage.
